Toronto, ON - [January 20, 2026] - Neshama Entertainment is proud to announce its financial sponsorship of seven participants from the third round of the AccessCBC Program to attend the Canadian Media Producer Association’s Prime Time 2026, Canada’s leading screen industry conferences.
Under this initiative, Neshama Entertainment will cover all related expenses for participating AccessCBC cohort members who are able to attend, including conference registration, travel, accommodations, and per diem allowances. This support removes financial barriers and creates meaningful access to valuable professional development and networking opportunities.
“Neshama Entertainment believes access should not depend on financial means,” said Dayna Zipursky, EVP. “Supporting AccessCBC participants at PrimeTime 2026 deepens our commitment to disability inclusion in the industry and amplifies the careers of talented creators who continue to break down barriers.”
AccessCBC is CBC’s national program in support of Deaf and disabled creators seeking to build careers in the screen sector, providing opportunities such as pre-development training, mentorship, and financial assistance. The program includes streams for scripted content, children’s content, unscripted work, and, more recently, podcast development.
“AccessCBC is a groundbreaking, first-of-its-kind program, and being able to add this additional opportunity for our stellar cohort of creators to attend such a critical industry gathering provides the perfect culmination to our training and mentorship,” said Lisa Clarkson, Executive Director, Business & Rights and Production Sustainability. “Thank you to Neshama for offering this generous and invaluable sponsorship to our AccessCBC creators.”
This sponsorship reflects Neshama Entertainment’s ongoing dedication to fostering inclusive and equitable opportunities within the television & film industry. By investing in initiatives like AccessCBC, Neshama contributes to a more diverse industry landscape where creators of all abilities can thrive.
Running this year from January 28-30 in Ottawa, Prime Time is widely recognized as a pivotal event for creators, executives, and decision-makers, offering networking, development sessions, and pathways to career advancement. Neshama’s support ensures that AccessCBC participants can fully engage in this influential forum.
“We look forward to welcoming the AccessCBC delegation to Prime Time and know they’ll bring fresh perspectives, creativity, and strong contributions to the conference,” said Andrew Addison, Senior Vice-President, Communications and Member Services at CMPA. “We applaud the program and Neshama for their work to expand access and support meaningful opportunities that strengthen Canada’s media production industry.”
